How many are living off student loans in school?

Published

How many of you will be living off student loans while in nursing school? I think I am going to have to take out a bunch of loans to make end's meet. I've been trying to find a prn job at a hospital, but haven't even been called for an interview. My husband and I have a mortgage, two car payments, and daycare expenses to keep up with :(

I was just curious how many are in the same boat. Any tips to make the money stretch?

Hello. I think I would be taking out student loans too. Just so I could be able to pay rent and other bills. It's going to be tough that's for sure. I'm hoping I won't graduate buried in debt..

I am currently living off of student loans. I have one more year of school left and I am hoping to get enough scholarships for a full ride. Otherwise, between my spouse and I, we are looking at 60k of loans upon graduation. It's incredibly stressful, so I totally understand the boat you are in.

I'm in the same shoes, have not found a decent healthcare related job that I can work nights and weekends (yet, still trying...), and am taking out loans for my community college associates. For me, its worth it b/c of the salary increase when I graduate next year. Just figure out what your loan payments will be when you graduate. If they are doable, don't stress. Good luck :)
