How long are undergrad courses good for Stony Brook Nursing?

Published

Hi! Does anyone know how long they will accept undergrad science courses at Stony Brook? I know it's 7 years at SUNY Downstate and 10 years at NCC.

I tried to find out some information about the Accelerated program by calling the Nursing dept at the college today. Unfortunately I got a rude person who said "CALL BACK NEXT WEEK - I DON'T KNOW WHEN THE INFO SESSIONS ARE YET!" :banghead:

Great person to have picking up the phones at the nursing office in the college...doesn't give me a "warm fuzzy" about the program- lol! I hope everyone else is nicer! If anyone has any info on the program - please let me know.

THANKS!!

I recently went to an info session at Stony Brook and they said if the pre-req was taken as part of a degree program there is no expiration. If the course was not taken as part of a degree program it expires after 5 years if it was an undergrad course and 10 years if it was a graduate level course. Hope this helps!

So funny - I just got an email from them with the info this week...but I hope you have it reversed...they said undergrad are good for 10 years and grad were 5 years - I sure hope so because I don't want to have to retake A&P!

THANKS!

Yes I had it reversed, sorry!
