So I am wondering how long it takes to work in a hospital as a new nurse before you can be hired by a different hospital (same type of unit) without having to repeat the training/internship? If anyone has the answer to this question it would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks!

As soon as you pass NCLEX and get a license you are no longer a graduate nurse, you are a registered nurse.
Most hospitals will give you some orientation before any new job. But it depends on the hospital as to how long that will be based on your experience. My new grad orientation was 11 weeks. My friend's at another hospital was 6 months.
Generally, after you have a year of experience you are not considered a "new" nurse anymore.
Thanks... I really appreciate that :)
