Hey Milkberry,

I too am curious since i applied for admission to the Spring program and am awaiting a decision from the admissions committee. I did a search through allnurses.com for information but am not finding very much about the ASCEND program.

I am hoping to transfer in enough credits from my BA and AAS to complete the program in under 18 months. This would be my second bachelor's degree and with my associates in nursing from BMCC, this would leave about 30 something credits left to complete the degree program.

Hope someone has some information for us. Thanks!

Hi, Melody,

how many credits do you think they would take you?

Did you apply for any other school beside Adelphi?

I am thinking about Hunter or CSI, too, but really not sure.

I only have my AAS in nursing from KCC, and am really unsure how long it will take me to get my BSN.

Hey Milkberry,

I am not certain how many credits they will take, however, i think 90 is the maximum number they will transfer in for a prior bachelor's degree. If they take 90 credits from my two prior degrees, then that would leave about 30 something more.

In addition to Adelphi, I applied to Hunter College and Drexel's online RN to BSN program. Drexel's program starts in November since its online and works in quarters.

If you have an Associates, it may take you 2-3 years to complete the program; all depends on what credits you can transfer in and what you need to take.

Let me know if you hear anything back. I will keep you posted if I hear anything back.

Good luck,

Melody
