How long do I need to prepare for the HESI? (current student, and just finished A&P II)

Hello,

So I'm in the middle of applying to nursing schools for next Spring and am deciding between either an accelerated Bachelor's, or an ADN and then getting the bachelor's after. For the ADN program they require the HESI A2 and the last dates remaining for me to take them to apply in time are late June, and 2 dates in mid-August.

I'm a current student so I haven't spent much time away from school/academics, but I am worried about doing well on the A&P. I did just finish A&P 2 this semester and while my grade doesn't show it © due to issues at home, I did learn and understand a TON because my professor was great and from what I understand these tests won't dive too deep into any one topic.

I also took the TEAS last month for the accelerated Bachelor's program i'm looking at and to my complete surprise scored a 92%. (I still think I got a little bit lucky) but nothing stood out to me as being too difficult. Being in A&P 2 at the time helped a ton for all those science questions. The problem is I heard HESI tests more A&P 1 and I'll probably have to revisit that a little more.

I feel fine for English/reading and math! I just don't know if I should take it in late June, or give myself the extra time until early August to study and really get everything down pat. The extra time sounds nice now, but I'm worried I might not study as hard knowing that there's so much extra time left. What do you think? thank you!
