Thank you for sharing how you've passed the exam. I do need it especially the books to review. How many weeks did you prepare for the exam? Some people say that the CPRNE Prep guide book didn't help them coz it was different from the actual exam. So I'm confused, I am actually planning on buying it. Did you read the books like Jarvis and Potter & Perry cover to cover? I am so worried though I'm taking it on yet on September. Doing consolidation at reviewing at the same time will be challenging for me on summer and still have to work part-time. I hope you can share more on how was your organizational plan when you reviewed for CPRNE. Thanks so much. So appreciated :)

I always seem to find myself on all nurses, and I have learned so much here. After finding out today that I have passed my CPNRE, I've decided to give back, and make an account to share my story on how I passed the CRNRE.
1) I bought the Canadian assessment strategies prep guide 4th ed. This helps with the style of questions on exam and some material.
2) Assessment strategies- Predictor test both 1 and 2. Helps a lot with knowing how to answer best response questions.
3). Basic pharmacology. (think about the most common meds, that have been used in clinical.
4) Potter and Perry, Nursing Interventions and Clinical skills.
5) Physical exam and health assessment (Jarvis).
6) Saunders NCLEX. Keep in mind that this is an American book. So the type of questions in the book, are different compared to the Canadian style exam.
7) Before the exam started, I took some deep breaths. And prayed to God to stand over my shoulders during the exam.
Hope this helps anyone, who will be writing the exam in the future. Best of luck to all the RPN/LPN across Canada!
