For my care plan, my instructor now wants us to find two nursing interventions through scholarly journals/articles... I don't exactly understand how... I have spent two hours looking for said nursing interventions on my schools library database and I cannot find anything. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place or doing it wrong completely? Am I supposed to make up my own intervention based on research? I have asked my instructor and she couldn't really give me a clear answer. If anyone has a link to scholarly, evidence based nursing interventions, please send it my way! Thank you.

It depends on the nursing diagnosis, but here's what I did in school. I had to write a paper on interventions for pregnant smokers for OB, so I google scholared "smoking cessation interventions", etc. until I stumbled across several articles on the 5 As. In Psych, I had to write a paper on interventions for patients with SI. I google scholared things like, "suicide prevention intervention" until I stumbled across articles on suicide contracts on psych units.
My nursing diagnosis is impaired physical mobility if that helps!

Hi, I just recently did an assignment with that exact NANDA nursing diagnosis. I don't understand the whole "scholarly journal" requirement from your instructor but I would suggest typing in Google "NANDA, nursing diagnosis, impaired physical mobility" and seeing what articles pop up. You may come across some already completed care plans that other nurses/nursing students have posted online and they may have links to references. Hope this help.
