Hi there!
I just had some inquiries about going to Langara for their Health Sciences program.
I’ll likely be attending Langara in the Fall (Fall 2021), and I’m a high school student. I was hoping to be able to finish all my courses by May 2022 (I’m thinking of taking 4 during my first semester and another 4 for my second) and apply to for the Langara BSN January 2023 intake.
My fear is that I won’t get in, and I’d like to have some backup options just in case. I plan to apply to Douglas and BCIT as well on top of Langara’s program.
I do have healthcare related work experience as I’ve been working as an MOA at a COVID-19 Testing Clinic for travellers for over 5 months now, so I think I have a shot at BCIT.
My question is: what courses should I take at Langara to be able to hit all the requirements for BCIT, Langara, and Douglas? I’m really worried I won’t be able to get into Langara since my HS average is currently a 92% (domestic BC student), and I have a full-ride scholarship I will lose if I do not continue full-time studies/have well enough grades. I like Douglas as an option, but I heard the waitlist is long and it would mean I’d lose my scholarship if I had to wait the 2 years time.
Please let me know if you can help! Post-secondary courses really confuse me. Thanks!
