How do HESI A2 and TEAS exams work?

This is for prior entry to a Nursing program.

Well, I noticed that many schools require HESI A2 and TEAS. What's the difference between these two? Is each HESI A2 and TEAS exam "set" to one college only or can you always transfer your scores to other colleges like SAT's/ACT's?

Also, any books recommended?
