How to get into NYU 2017

0Hello, I am thinking about transferring to NYU as a transfer for Fall 2017. I have all my classes done with a GPA of 3.4. I got two C's: one in Statistics and the other in Chemistry; everything else has been A's and B's. If i retake Chem and Stat, my advisor said i can raise it up to a 3.6 GPA. Is there a chance of me getting in with that GPA? If anyone could share their stat's if they've had similar ones to mines and got accepted. Thanks.

Hello,

I applied in 2016 and did not get accepted into the program. It is extremely difficult to get into NYU, because they only have a slim number of spots for transfer students. From my experience, they take into account GPA, volunteer/career experience, letters of recommendation, personal statement, and even HS GPA (asked for my HS transcript, even when I was well over 60 credits at a CC). So in addition to your GPA, look into those other factors as well. So due to the competitiveness of the program, I also advise you to look into other programs around the state. Not saying that you shouldn't apply, but have other options.

I didn't get accepted to NYU, but I was recently accepted to another private university in NY.Good luck!

I've in been in healthcare for almost 2 years working with the elderly. I feel I have a strong background in that department. NYU was where I was looking into because of they're geriatric fellowship. I have other backups just thought I would give it a shot. I feel pretty confident about my letter of recommendation and personal statements. Thanks for your feedback, it was much appreciated! :)
