Is it weird to call outpatient clinics to ask if they're hiring?
Hello, I'm an oncology nurse with 3 years experience. I'm tired of bedside and am thinking of doing something else in nursing.
I have been really thinking about working in an outpatient setting such as:
OB, IVF, peds clinics, a laser clinic, or a MedSpa. I know these jobs are harder to obtain as a nurse.
I know of a couple clinics in my area but many of them don't really have an online option to apply for jobs and don't indicate that they're "hiring”….
So I have been thinking about calling some companies and offices and asking if they're hiring or looking for a nurse.
Is this a bad idea? Is there a different way to go about this? Can any experienced nurses give me advice?
How can I get a job working in Ob outpatient? Or a medspa?
