Well, today i talk with with a recruiter online. I dont if he was a health recruiter or not. I'm a fresh graduated with an ADN. I was hoping to join the Air Guard as anurse officer. But, i only have my greencard. He said to me i can join the Air Guard, but not as an officer. I asked him how long is going to take to become a citizen, he said he doesnt know. So, can someone tell what can i do? I just renew my greencard for 10 years. Some advices are welcomed.

You cannot become an officer with out citizenship. You can join the military with a green card, but you are limited in the jobs you are qualified to have. You are also limited to a total of 7 or 8 years of active duty, if you do not have a citizenship by that time you will be discharged from the military.
However, once you join, you can get citizenship after 3 years of active duty, or just by being on active duty during time of war (as in right now). Best bet would be to go in person to your local recruiting station and get the latest facts. Also check with ICE- yeah I know- painful process.
