How to deal with "waiting stress"?

Published

Hello everyone, I applied to a ADN program this fall at my CC. Acceptance letters will not be out until mid-December. There are about 200-300 applicants and around 90-100 spots. The program goes by points, and usually the cut off is at 75 points with the highest at 100 points. I currently have 75 points, and I am having tons of anxiety.:nailbiting: I can't seem to concentrate on my general ed (for BSN), and am feeling pretty negative already. I enjoy science a lot, and have a great desire to go for this profession. I am just really scared of being denied, and I can't seem to relax.:-/

Hang in there. I know the waiting period can be tough, but whats the worse that can happen? If you don't get accepted, just reapply! Every program is so competitive, some more than others, but it sounds like you have what it takes!! Everything will fall into place and you've worked hard up to this point that when you DO hear back from a college of your choice, all the stress and even anxiety will be well worth. :)

It's nice knowing there is someone on the same boat! Thank you and best of luck to you! :)
