How can a NP specialize in otology, neurotology, or otoneurology?

Published

Are there programs that provide credentials so an RN or an APN can specialize in otology, neurotology, or otoneurology? I'm not as interested in the nose or throat as I am soley of the ear. Not that I wouldn't mind getting an otorhinolaryngology or otolaryngology (as it is usually called now) certificate if there are such certifications available for clinical nurse specialists and nurse practitioners or just a post RN certificate. I'm also interested in the neuro and brain specialties of the hearing system in general.

Is there a way that a future Deaf RN could focus soley on treating the perioperative Deaf patient? It's simply a calling...

I'd like to know how I can obtain such specialties and where.
