I graduated from the integrated RN/LPN school almost 2 1/2 years ago. I had a series of bad things happen to me in my life that forced me out of the RN program which still gave me the option of testing out as a LPN. Well like most people I work so much I just didnt have time to study after school. However due to cut backs at work I now have time to dedicate to studying. The company that i now work for (which is a huge non profit) is going to be offering a few positions for lpns to simply take vitals and very basic nursing just for screenings. Which is perfect for me, I dont know if the hospital setting is for me. I contacted the Kentucky Board of Nursing and they told me this week that there is no time limit on take my boards in Kentucky. As a matter a fact a nurse recently took and passed her lpn boards 12 years after the fact. What I need is, I need advice or direction on how to basically study for my boards. Is there any programs or books that I can buy to begin this journey. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you.
