i have heard that hospitals have a program (im not sure what the proper name is) that consist of students signing a contract stating you will work for them after graduation and they will pay for your training. Does anyone know anything about this? what area of the hospital do I contact to find out the details? thanks in advance for your help! :wink2:

A lot of hospitals do this - they will either help pay for tuition (or sometimes in full!) in exchange for working for them for x amount of years. You could call the hospitals or go on their websites. Usually they have a page for "nursing students" and will tell what they offer for nursing students, whether it's a tech position while you're in nursing school or an offer to pay for your schooling. You can always break the contract with them if you decide you don't want to work for them, but you have to pay back whatever money they gave you. A lot of hospitals also require you to already be enrolled in a accredited nursing program.
thank you, i was thinking about just calling the hospital. i didn't think about going on their website.....thanks for the info!
