Does anyone know of any hospitals or facilites in Atlanta where you can volunteer and gain a little experience. I know you have to have many certifications, certifficates and certainly degrees. I'm a pre-nursing student and hope to get a CNA too soon. I know they don't allow the volunteers to do much, but I'm really just trying to get in the loop of everything and perhaps some people.

Yes, there are plenty of hospitals you can volunteer at. Just go the nearest one near you and see if you can be placed on one of the actual hospital floors, so that you can see nurses actually doing things. Many people volunteer at Grady, but I recently stopped because of the distance. Good luck!
Thanks I'll try Grady, since it's right next to my school.

I volunteer at Northside on Johnson Ferry Rd!! The food is great there is a meal per every four hours you volunteer.....that's free!! I asked to Volunteer on the L/D floor personally and it's great so far. I volunteer in recovery dept transporting mom and baby up to their room. I've held several babies so far. It's a fairly simple process to get started. Great post....
