If anyone has attended or w.e..please give me some advice.
I am hoping to find out about the school of nursing and what exactly University of Michigan is looking for in a student. I would like to explain a little bit of my academic history, so that you could see where i stand, and maybe be able to tell me if i have a chance, or if i should just not waste my time applying.
When i started high school, my family went through some very hard times which effected my academics, so by the time i graduated my grades were never really good, a lot of C's and ACT score of 15.
I did not start community college until the Fall of 2009, a year later. When i attended the first community college i took 8 classes all together..my grades were C's, an A, B, and an E.
I did have 4 withdraw grades..But i transferred to a better community college where i have since retaken 3 of them, and received A's. Now, i have consistently gotten A's and a couple of B's. My GPA this past semester was a 3.83.
I was wondering, if i retook classes that i received C's in at the beginning of my college career, and received A's to raise my GPA, along with maintaining A's in all of my other math, science, and other pre-requisite work...would i have a chance at getting into the school of nursing? I was also wondering if taking the SAT would help my chances as well, since my high school career wasn't so good.
