Hopeful Georgia Nurse

I am currently debating nursing school. It has been a field I have long been wanting to pursue. I am now 31 and have a legal issue that I think may hinder my chances for licensure.

In 2002 my boyfriend and I got into a big fight that had been brewing and I protected myself by attacking him with a kitchen knife in front of my children. Of course I was the only one arrested and went to jail for a few months. The charges were dismissed and now I am skeptical as to what my chances are to still pursuing my career in nursing. Can someone help me?
