We are currently using paper and my company wants purchase home health software for office use and clinicians in the field. Any recommendations? What software are you using and what do like or don't like about it? Thanks

My company is switching from Healthwise to Mckesson and so far it's a nightmare! I suppose when we get use to Mckesson it won't be so terrible, but right now the office and nurses are pulling there hair out. Sorry I can't be specific regarding Mckesson because we've only been using it for 2 weeks. Healthwise was user friendly (I thought) once you knew what sections to ignore in the SN note because they were not necessary, but nursing notes would come up missing, so that wasn't cool.

I think our agency has looked at most everything out there, and I've come to the conclusion that there is no 'shining star' amongst HH softwares. It all comes down to what works best for the way your agency does business. Just know this - it's the questions you FORGET to ask that will cause you heartache. Take your time in selecting a product....start with a list of 'must haves' and 'would be nice to have'....and go from there. Do NOT compromise on your needs. These systems are expensive and chances are you will end up with a 3 year contract, so you REALLY want to be comfortable with your choice. Best of luck to you!
