Hey everyone! My home health agency is currently using Brightree software program for documentation. We are using laptops as opposed to the iPads. I'm wondering if anyone has used the iPads and if so, how do you like them? Our laptops are big & bulky & it's not practical to take them into out patient's homes. We're spending 2-3 hours documenting at home after an 8 hour day of seeing patients. I'm begging for iPads! Do they make documentation faster??

I haven't used Brightree on a laptop, but I hate documenting on my ipad. It is too small, it makes typing the narrative a pain, and I would rather be able to tab through to mark off check marks than have to touch the screen each time. However, they are handy for pulling out to quickly update med lists or check info, and my documentation takes about an hour to two a night with 8 visits. But I am an LPN so no SOC/ROC or OASIS for me.
Do you take the iPad into the patient's homes and document any during the visit? My plan (if we ever get ipads) is to purchase a keyboard for it & do my narrative at home. I'm hoping to be able to complete the care plan & assessment documentation during my visit. Do you think that would be possible or am I just wishful thinking?

If you are currently using Brightree I would be very interested in talking to you about Medforce. We have some really great services that you may want to consider as add-ons to what you are currently doing with Brightree. Or if you are would like to look at our document management solution, email me if interested [email protected].
