home care supervisor

I am considering taking a part time job as an RN home care supervisor. Previous RN is retiring. The job entails supervising the nursing assistants and home care aids for clients receiving non-medical home care. Responsible for doing initial assessment, care plan development and supervisory visits and orientation and ongoing education for the aids. It is a local company that has been in business about 5 years. They seem successful and supportive. Just wondering if anyone else works in this capacity. Not a lot of clinical skills needed, more supervisory and administrative. I have the option to be paid per diem or salaried. Not sure which way to go yet. I will be the primary RN covering this agency. They have a back up RN. Some on call for phone issues is required periodically. Any info. would be appreciated.
