Holy Family University, Newtown, PA - Fall 2016 ABSN

Published

Hello!

I was recently accepted into Holy Family University's (Newtown, PA campus) ABSN program for Fall of 2016. I found a really helpful post here from some of the Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 students that reassured me that all of the other negative, outdated stuff I had read online was not really relevant anymore.

I'd love additional feedback - are there any current Holy Family ABSN students that have any info/insight/advice? Or are there any other applicants/admitted students for Fall 2016? I'd love to touch base!

I'll be going to the information session on March 9 so I'm hoping to get some answers then as well!

Also, does anyone know how long the ABSN program has been at Holy Family University?

Thanks all!

KJB

Hi kjbentzen, Congrats on your acceptance!! I'm a fall 2016 applicant and I just received an email today regarding the interview. Have you had your interview yet? If so, how did it go and what should I expect?? The ABSN program at Holy Family is new, Fall 2015 I believe was their first cohort. I went to the info session on Feb 17th. and it was great. They answered any questions I had and we got to speak with current students and ask them questions. My interview is on March 9th, maybe I'll run into you!

Hi BA2012! Thank you - it was a big relief to get accepted! I actually did not have an interview...I kind of wish I had so I knew more what to expect. I'm looking FWD to the info session on 3/9/16 to get some answers. Good luck on your interview!!! Maybe we will run into reach other on the 9th! :)

Also I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful regarding the interview - good luck! I'm sure you will do great! Thanks also for the info session & ABSN program :) I was wondering why there was so little info online - I was glad to hear it's new!

Hi there! Congrats on your acceptance! I had my interview with the faculty last week and am waiting to hear if I am accepted or not. I'm finishing nutrition and A&P II at the moment, but the interview went well. They were incredibly friendly and answered all of my questions. Any news for anyone else?

I've been accepted! Who else has received notification?

Hi all. I'm just starting in Cohort 9, and we have our first 204 exam next week. We didn't get our ATI testing started yet. And from the Fundamental of nursing textbook there's not much to study besides the terms and definitions. Can someone from the previous cohorts share what info or study experiences to prepare for the exams? Do I just need to do a lot of practice questions from ATI? What are the questions like? Professor Mathew seems to be kinna vague and general on what we need to study. Thanks
