I'm a nursing student and will be done in 2 years. I see ads up for HHA and I was considering it for a while...
Some of the ads say "Certified" needed, and some don't and that they will train you.
Is it harder to get jobs as a HHA? (I live in the northeast, NY, but moving to NJ)
What do you do and need, to get started as a home health aide?
I know nothing of HHA, any information will help

My company will hire anyone with a pulse as a HHA...lol...no certification required. Also, they are always hiring, but the pay is low.
However, many companies do require state certification and pay a little higher. I think it's a 3 week course if I'm not mistaken where you learn personal care (body mechanics, showering/bathing, etc), vital signs, etc.
I was never a HHA so I don't have personal experience to the job or certification.
