Hello everyone!!

I am new to this site.

I am in the process of applying for an LPN program. It's an 11-month course. I feel like I have a good shot at getting accepted because I already have quite a bit of experience under my belt.

After I graduated high school in 2001, I went straight to college to pursue an associate degree (RN). I was one semester away from graduating and failed my final by 1/10th of a point!!! :crying2: It was horrible.

And at that time I was about 8 weeks pregnant with my first baby, so I decided at that time to put nursing school on hold to become a Stay at home mom.

So that's what I've been doing for the past 3 years and now I have two beautiful daughters...ages 2 1/2 and 9 months.

Plus, while I was in RN school I worked as a CNA at a nursing home for 2+ years.

So I've got plenty of nursing experience, so I am hoping that I get into this LPN program!

I have to go to a mandatory meeting at the school on April 1st for everyone who is interested in applying. After that they will give out the application packets. Once I get all that turned back in, I should hear something within a few weeks.

I feel good about going back now and hope to eventually get my RN too. My dream is to be a Labor & Delivery nurse. My own experiences with birth and pregnancy made me OBSESSED with the whole obstetrics community. I would love to work in that field.

Anyway, i look forward to getting to know you all!!
