Hello fellow nurses! It's been a while since I posted on this board. I am still trying to get my foot in the door into HHC. I was told even though, they have hiring freezes, they hire in small amounts. I would like to preferably work in Kings or Queens county hospital but I'm open to travel to Harlem and Bronx so I really have no choice, lol. I have to be open. Any tips on how to get my resume into the right hands or even noticed?
Also, once I get my foot in the door, what should I expect in terms of patient ratio, staffing schedule, bosses, working in the night vs in the day (which one is better)? Thanks everyone.
