After reading the article about the 6.5 earthquake off the coast of northern CA today, and reading that
it shook up the area around the Crescent City facility, I was just curious as to what protocol in the corrections
facilities are if and when your facility is involved in a significant (okay, or even small) earthquake. Just wondering
what the staff does and what the inmates that are out, do. Knowing that the electrical fences are high voltage-wondering if the fences have ever been down...are they de-energized...etc.
I've dealt with the threat of tornadoes, hurricanes and floods. Never had to tackle earthquakes, and
without a doubt, that is the thing that is most unsettling to me.
