Our school requires a 900 to graduate and I have no idea on how to study what to study or what to do if I don't get the required score...I have the NCLEX-RN Examination by HESI and the Saunders Comprehensive NCLEX-RN review books already and am trying to start studying but every time I open them I think about how much my future as a nurse rides on this exam...So with that said:
1. Which book should I study?
2.How should I study?
3. What are the laws in Texas regarding HESI pass/fail and graduation?
Please no negative comments there is already too many floating in my head right now as it is....

FIRST-forget about the Hesi book and the Cd,seriously waste of time.
SECOND-get yourself a NCLEX 3500 CD,maybe your school has this computer CD or you can get it from the book called Medical-surgical textbook from the author Brunner.(those types of questions are very similar to the ones you will ecounter on your Hesi exam)
THIRD buy a book called "Prioritization,Delegation Assigment practice exercises for Medical Surgical Nursing" by Linda A.LaCharity,Candice K.Kumagai,Barbara Bartz,do the whole book including the case study,I think this book did for me,it helped me put the whole picture together.
Also if you have some extra time to study buy/borrow a book called "Lippiticott manual of nursing" Awsome book that will teach you a lot about nursing!
Good luck!!!!

well honestly I LOVED the HESI book....the questions on the CD were very similar to the ones that I had on the actual test. THe book is a great review and the only flaw with the CD is that some scetions don't have enough questions. I had a friend to study an NCLEX book and she failed... I as well as two of my other friends studied the HESI book and we made the highest grades in the class. I believe the book made all the difference. But to each his own.

I have taken Hesi (as finals) throughout my program and just took my exit exam yesterday. I have scored in the 94 to 99.9 percentile on all of them. What I did
1. Read the kaplan review from cover to cover. (Its a quick read)
2. Read chapters covered in Hesi, hints, answer review questions, and did the cd practice tests.
3. Saunders review questions and rationales.
Honestly the test is 50% strategy. Kaplan helps so much with that.

NCLEX 3500 CD.
that and doing like 150-200 questions everyday.
HESI really pounds you on maternity. like... pounds you. psych, professionalism, and delegation are other big subjects.
