Hey, how is everyone doing? I am super excited joining in with the Allnurses.com community. So I just have a huge question to ask! I am almost done finishing my Associate's degree of Science this upcoming december and this year I have to study for my hesi exam so I can take the exam around january and turn in my application to any nursing program to be accepted for Fall 2018. Any tips? is it better to study on the Hesi study guide book or online? I cannot wait for everyone's responds!

The book and online practice test would be great resources to help you study, especially online. Do as many online practice tests that you can, because the book won't cover everything for you, especially in the anatomy section. There's a bunch of quizlet's that have every section of the Hesi exam so make use of them. Do as many reading sections as you can, because while they are boring, it will certainly come in handy for the exam. I've seen a lot of people talk about using the Pocket Prep app for studying and that it helped them with the exam, so you should give it a try if you need more material :). Best of luck to you!

I just took the HESI almost a week ago. First of all, if you study from the hesi book for anatomy, that is a great start but I feel like i was thrown a few hard questions that even after reading each section in the hesi study guide, i did not know the answer...Ex. A patient came in with an unusual skin color, this could be due to them eating what; carrots and something, it had broccoli as a answer. so that was something i did not know. One, asked about pulse behind knee, what vein would be felt. Most questions were very easily answered and others required some indepth knowledge. I passed the anatomy, but i ran out of time for reading comp. and i rushed so I am going to retake it. GOOD LUCK> All other sections are not hard at all!!!
