HESI Exam 2008

I will take the Hesi exam in June. I already got the $25.00

testing booklet. I wanted to know if anyone has taken the exam

this year, and is the booklet enough for the exam? :nurse:

I passed the pre-entrance Hesi earlier this month.

-There is army time, roman numerals, and metric conversions that is on the math section of the exam. Brush up on fractions, including improper fractions, mixed fractions, and you gotta know how to subtract them, add them, and multiply them. Also there are ratios and proportions. If you need more practice, try http://www.abcteach.com Also, not all (about 5) questions for the math part are multiple choice - they are fill ins.

-The vocabulary section is pretty easy compared to SAT. To study for this section, study parts of words, the words in the book, and also check out this set on quizlet: http://quizlet.com/set/221907/ . That's basically what I did, there are other sets from that user that includes parts of words.

-I did not have any problems passing grammar or reading comprehension.

I would also check out from your library other practice test booklets to see how you stand on these. I checked out RN Pre-Entrance Exam and a SAT Practice test. I got 40% on the SAT vocabulary (in the book), but I passed the vocabulary on the test so you don't need to study SAT vocabulary for this particular test.
