HESI ENTRANCE EXAM

U.S.A. Washington

Published

Hello everyone I just had a few question people might be able to answer for me. I am applying to schools out of state and majority of the schools require me to take the HESI EXAM. Instead of flying out of state does anyone know any schools in Washington that might offer the HESI entrance exam?

Thank you

You will need to check with each university/college to see what their requirement is. One of the colleges where I am applying requires that I must take the test on their campus. Scores from other college/university campuses are not allowed.

Specializes in ED, acute care, home health, hospice.

Most of the schools I encountered while in the process of applying to NS used either the NET or the TEAS in Washington. Good luck to you!

I am having the exact same problem!! I live in Tacoma, however I am applying to nursing school in Arizona. The HESI is required. I checked into several testing centers up here in WA which offer the HESI, HOWEVER, the nursing program I am applying to in AZ does not offer their exact HESI exam to be tested in WA state. And since I am not an applicant at a nursing program here, I cannot test with their applicants. It's very frustrating. I actually have to fly down to AZ next month JUST to take the HESI.

Did you ever find a solution? I live in Oregon and am currently applying to the Maricopa program in AZ and am having the same issue finding a place to take the HESI.

Having the same problem moving to AZ in about a year but want to get on the waiting list but cant find a place here in Washington to take the HESI A2 has anyone found a place?

You can take the Hesi at Prometric testing center in Mountlake Terrace. You schedule it through the Evolve website. You will need to know your schools id #

Okay, I was finally able to find out how to take the exam. First create an account at evolve.

Mesa Community College Department ID: 198813

On that site you will find the option to request eligibility. Email them with the info they request at [email protected]. Ask them who the contact is for an out of state school to order an exam in the state at which you live. ...... I recommend asking them who the contact is. They usually respond within 2 days.

They will reply that you are not eligible due to the school not ordering the test but will provide you with the appropriate contact info. Then forward that email to the nursing department with an explanation at the top of what you are requesting and your student ID at the school you are applying. They responded back to me within a day and sent me the step by step of what to do next. It outlines how to schedule and where to schedule.

I'm pretty sure this could also be done for other schools requiring this exam.
