helpful hints on contracts

ok - i have done some research - and read multiple posts here...

i know of basic things to look for - hours i will be required to work, salary, time required to repay loan, if the loan is repayable should i change my mind,......etc...

are there any small tidbits that i could easily overlook, or that any of you have found?

i have found what looks to be a great deal

52,000.00 forgivable for 3 yrs (or 30,000.00 for 2 yr)

130K/yr

full benefits

no on call

OT available

moving expenses

level 1 trauma - new anesthesia group

i am doing a share-day in a wk or so to check it out and meet the chief CRNA etc....

just tell me if i am missing anything. thank you ahead of time

Consider 401K, etc.

You also need to consider the following:

1. non-compete clause (duration and geographic boundaries)

2. dismissal without cause (consider what is acceptable to you)

3. due process rights

4. Malpractice, including tail

5. 410K, like NC mentioned. (I've interviewed for a few jobs lately that pay 14-16% of my gross into a 401K.)

I agree with the above, additionally, I would ask about how the repayment is handled in the event of a disability or (God forbid), death.

Sounds like York? If so, hello neighbor!

Either way, best of luck!

it is kate...i am going fri to visit!!

An opt out or escape clause to pay back $given you in case you decide the place isn't right for you and you want to leave. I'm assuming you're giving them 2 years for the $30,000 they're giving you.
