I took the teas v today in hopes of applying to the local university BSN program and my scores are as follows:
Adjusted individual total score: 84.7%
Ati academic preparedness level: advanced
Mean- national 64.3 %
Mean- program 70.6%
Percentile rank- national 95
Percentile rank- program 89
Reading 90.5%
Math 93.3%
Science 81.3%
English 73.3%
Math and reading were pretty straightforward. I was surprised I did so well on science. And I didn't do so hot on English. I feel a bit ashamed since I am a native and it is my primary language. The program I am applying to is extremely competitive and if I were to retest I would have to exactly a month from today to meet the application deadline. I should also mention I only studied for about a week and going in I felt so so on knowing all the grammar and English concepts. I'm thinking about retesting and I wanted more input. My fiancée isn't much help. If i do test again, what prep materials do you recommend that would focus more on the english concepts Im having a hard time grasping outside of the study guide by ATI and the mcgraw hills? Thanks!! :)
