Hi everyone,
I'm a nursing student in my last semester...until this semester, I've felt confident in my work and felt like I some what "knew what I was doing" But this semester I have a professor who kind of makes me feel really stupid...she requires a lot more from us...she's all about details. I feel like I can't get my "mojo" back..I really want to finish in december, but I have to get my confidence back up and work on my organizational skills..I really don't know what has gotten in to me. Does anyone have any pointers? How did your last semester go??

I'm in my 4th semester now and I find stuff like this great. I am a PCT right now and I also feel as if I could be a nurse in my ER at any time. So I feel pretty confident about my abilities.
However, we have a couple of clinical instructors who are really tough and make you feel stupid! When it comes down to it some of us aren't ready just yet! That's not saying you should stay behind a semester thats just saying that learn from your mistakes now. If you do something bad in clinicals then its ok if you do something bad in the real world then it may not be ok. During clinicals it's ok to make mistakes because we are still students!!!!
Anyways, nursing school is far from the real world. Just be sure to be very thorough in your assessment of every patient and check off all the details and you'll be fine!
