HELP!!! Stony Brook BSN 2 year program

Hello everyone. I have found myself in a crazy situation and really could use any info you may have to offer.

I just completed my pre-reqs and applied to Stony Brook's BSN 2 year Nursing Program. I was told that decision are made in February into March for this upcoming fall start. What I want to know is if I am accepted, would I have any say in the schedule I get for each semester and is it mandatory to start clinicals the first Fall semester? The reason I am asking is because I just found out that I am pregnant and my due date is mid-September. I am hoping that I would be able to take a light course schedule this Fall if accepted and maybe take extra course the following two semesters to make up for having a part-time fall schedule. Is this even possible? Any current BSN students that could advise would be wonderful!

As a side note, I just went back to school Spring 10 semester WHILE PREGNANT and took chemistry and API. Then this past Fall semester I gave birth to my daughter 2 weeks into APII, missed 2 weeks of classes and managed to come through with a B+ for the class with a newborn at home. Hubby and I decided we wanted one more child but were going to wait until I finished getting a BSN. THIS OBVIOUSLY IS OUT THE WINDOW NOW. So I have a 4 month old at home and pregnant again! I know I could handle 2-3 classes around the time I am scheduled to give birth because I just achieved this past semester, but I am concerned that they won't work with my schedule. Are any of the courses available online for the first semester?

ARRRGH... so frustrated right now that busted my butt last year to get to this point and it is happening all over again! Tubes are getting tied after this one! PLEASE HELP!!!

Congrats on your pregnancy!!! My advice to you is to call or go into the School of Nursing to ask if they will allow you to take a light course load. They are the best ones to answer this type of question. I hope that helps! Good luck with everything!!

Congrats!!! I have 5 children all back to back, so I know how you feel! My only advice is go talk to your nursing school's director, if you got accepted, immediately! If they're willing to work with you, find goods child care and have it lined up early! Good luck, I got pregnant with my #5 a semester back into doing pre-reqs and I didn't do nearly as good as you, though I have 4 other kiddos to deal with as well, hehe!
