I recently decided to change careers after about 20 years in the corporate business world. I am finishing prereqs and looking at either an acclerated BSN or MSN. I have an MBA. My goal is to work on healthcare reform, but I want to work in the nursing field first so i know first hand where to focus. I am hoping to use my MBA and background in combo with the nursing education to work on reform in Washington. What do any of you out there think would be smarter to do: get the BSN or go for the MSN? The Masters will take about twice as long, but will it buy me more credibility or will combining the BSN with work experience and my MBA go just as far?
