We have a take home quiz that we need to prioritize these tasks for when the baby is crowning in the delivery process. This is an emergency birth, multigravida mother coming into hospital saying the "baby is coming". You get help in delivery and you direct team to do these tasks - 1 most urgent, 10 least.
Here's how I did it, is this right? Our book really doesn't delineate this well.
1. Check FHR
2. Call doctor
3. Put on gloves
4. Start an IV
5. Set up instruments
6. Turn on 02
7. Open bulb syringe
8. Set up baby warmer
9. Chart
10. Complete admission assessment
Thanks for your input. It is due tomorrow - been laboring over it for awhile.

You need to have internal access to any patient in anticipation of IV interventions.
You need to set up your equipment in order to monitor any fetal activities
You don't call the Doctor until you have baseline information on mother and baby.
Is baby crowning? If not, you can complete your assessment while setting up baby's care area.
