Hello all I'm in 3rd semester which is peds and Ob........For my exam I need to know how to convent a babies wt so I know what the normal wt lost is for the newborn at birth..............My instructor told us that a baby can lose 10 to 15%..after birth..........So can someone tell me if I am doing this correctly.
If the baby wt is 7lbs 4oz I would take the
7lbs x 454= 3178
4oz x 28= 112
Than take 3178 + 112= 3290
3290 x .10%= 329.0
this is where i don't understand what to do next
What i did was converted the 7lbs 4oz to grams first....but i still dont know what amount of wt the baby can lose.........Or does anyone know a easier way...........Thanks:rolleyes:
