i have to do a concept map for a pt who has myasthenia gravis, hypertension, rhematoid arthritis, osteoporosis, depression - we have to come up with 5 nd along with 3-5 nursing intervensions. so far i have come up with:
risk for aspiration r/t cerebella dysfunction secondary to myasthenia gravis
decreased cardiac output r/t increased vasoconstriction secondary to hypertension
impaired swallowing r/t neuromuscular impairment secondary to myasthenia gravis
ineffective airway clearance r/t intercostal muscle weakness secondary to myasthenia gravis
ineffective tissue perfusion r/t decreased hgb concentrations in blood secondary to hypertension
can anyone let me know how these sound???? thank you:rolleyes:

ok..:) where did you find that increased hgb concentration is related to hypertension? and do you have the hgb results?
risk for aspiration is true- but does it fit into an intervention for impaired swallowing?
what about the rheumatoid arthritis, and pain, loss of functioning, autoimmune aspects of possible meds (check meds first)
do you have the med list, and any pertinent lab work and vital signs? those would help w/prioritizing :)
