Hi, I'm an ungergraduate college freshman whose decided to become a nurse. But, is it worth it? I've worked crappy jobs in retail and food before where you were underpaid and underappreciated. Is nursing different because you're actually helping people? Or do you have to have really thick skin and not let these facts get to you? Does the job require lots and lots of energy? I mean I know it does but are you always sore and tired or do you get used to it? I was almost a 4.0 GPA student in high school and so far college hasn't been too bad but is nursing school incredibly hard? Will I have nervous breakdowns because of it? I just keep getting stressed thinking about if I'm making the right decision. I love helping people and don't mind hard, messy work. But what if I get through everything and realize I made a mistake? Someone please help. Tell me if it's all worth it.
