Help! Homework Question!

Im getting a BSN online and I had a quick question for anyone who can help.

We have to do a little assignment that places us in a scenerio, then we have to answer legal questions after reading it..

A brief version of the scenerio goes like this--You are a RN who is asked to float to an unfamiliar floor in an area you have no experience when there is a shortage. The HS pretty much threatens you if you dont take the assignment so you finally do and mis-titrate a drip resulting in a code. The patient dies and they (HS, DON) report you to the board.

One of the questions is: Should the hospital have sent you to peer review before reporting you to the board? If so, which Board Rule was violated?

I'm having a hard time finding an answer for this (since the pt ends up dying) so if anyone can help me, that would be great! Thank you!

You'll find that people here are unwilling to do your homework for you. I would suggest you read your NPA and read up on "mandatory board reportable" offenses and the peer review process. Therein lies your answer.

Good luck.

The question was homework help...not homework "do". If I wanted someone to "do" my homework, it would not be for nursing, nor would I request that on a forum like this??

Thank you so much for your help, but I'd have to be a little smarter than that...
