Hi,

I am interested in applying Cal state long beach NP program. I originally did not planned to apply there so I started (which is Pass or no pass). Then, I realized I do want to get accepted to Cal state long beach program since it was one of the great program to prepare you to become a good NP.

I have a Bachelor degree in Science with a GPA of 2.54 and prereq classes that I took after first undergrad was 4.0. Then, I attended Associate Degree for Nursing and have a GPA of 3.082.

I know this is not a good gpa and I want to improve my chances of becoming a competitive applicants. Do you think I should attend other BSN programs that would give me better chances to raise my gpa? Also, what other areas do you think I need to improve?

I would really appreciate your honest feedback. I failed once in my first Bachelor degree and I do not want to do the same for my BSN. I do not mind to start a new program. I want to even apply to CSULB bsn program if that would help me too.

Also, if you got accepted to CSULB NP program, please share your stats! I think it would give me a better idea.

(I have one year experience so far in a community hosptial at Stepdown unit)
