Hello,
I am a born and raised Californian and have just been accepted to the direct-entry NP programs at both Virginia Commonwealth and the University of Rochester (I'm going into the FNP track). They both (especially Rochester) require decisions rather quickly, and I have no idea as to which to pick. For as much research as I did on these schools before I applied, I still feel like I don't know much about either school or their programs. Does anyone know if one of these schools has a better program than the other? Any pros/cons for attending one vs. the other? Any information about either of these schools would be GREATLY appreciated as I try to make my decision. Thanks for your help!

I too am a Californian and am eagerly anticipating letters from a couple of schools. I have a good friend who went to the School of Dentistry at VCU and loved the University and the area which why I applied to the program. Sorry, other than that I haven't really heard too much about either one. I applied for and am still waiting for a letter from VCU. I am curious to find out how you heard about your acceptance (via email or regular mail) and when you received your notice.
Congratulations on being accepted!
Thanks - it's always nice to know that it's a good school. I heard from VCU late last week by email. They told me I should be receiving a packet in the mail within the next month or so. If you haven't heard anything, you can always try to call the admissions office. Good luck - thanks again for the info!
