Anxiety stemming from death

Nurses Stress 101

Published

I have been a nurse for almost 5 years, and my mother passed away 3 weeks before I graduated nursing school. Over the years, I have felt that I have managed my stress pretty well by journaling, talking to a few counselors, working things out with my changing family. The last few years, I have also lost my grandparents, and dealing with all the changes along with trying to help my young sister find her way in life has left me a bit frazzled. So now I feel like i have anxiety and stresses that are not normal, and I am looking for some help again. Does anyone reccommend a good med for GAD? My sister feels some mixed things about Paxil....I think I might need to try a med and try to go speak to someone again to try to find some peace with things. Thanks for any advice.
