Hi guys! I am starting the nursing program in August and I am wanting to get a head start over the summer. I will have 4 nursing classes ( skills, principles&concepts, geriatrics, and pharmacology) and I will also be taking A&P 1 online.
What can I do to prepare for these classes? How would you suggest I get a head start before August?
I'm not talking about spending my whole summer studying because I have two little girls that will start school next year. But in my down time (nap time for example) I want to be able to be getting ready for nursing school.
Any advice?

If you can, take A&P over the summer. It lays the groundwork for all of nursing, so it would help greatly knowing it before you start. Otherwise, I can tell your going to be doing twice the studying most people do (A&P requires quite a bit of studying, as does Nursing).
I agree with you about taking it in the summer, however that's just not an option for me. That was my original plan but due to financial aid, credit hours, scheduling problems with my daughters....it just won't work. So unfortunately I am stuck taking it in the Fall. I do know its going to be a lot of extra studying and am prepared for that. That is why I am wanting to get a head start so when the classes get here I will be a little familiar with the material.
