HCC Pharmacology

I have browsed this site alot and I see alot of postings stating that HCC uses pharm as a 'weed out' class, as well as the big pre-req to make or break your chances to get in the program. Is this true?

Can you take Pharm elsewhere? If I took Pharm at Lonestar and passed, do I have to re-take it at HCC or will they accept my passing grade? Does it have to be 'their' Pharm?

I went to an HCC info session tonight. They will take pharm from other schools as credit, but you have to pass the HCC pharm test.
