Seeing if anyone got excepted for Spring 2022 at HPU

Congrats to all those that got it!

My degree works doesn’t let me have any access to look at classes. Is it because I have to pay the $200 deposit? I only got accepted for now as a pre nursing major…. Still waiting on the BSN notification

Hi Elle!

Congratulations to you! ???♥️
My other friend also received an acceptance letter around the same time as you posted on here about yours! I think he submitted his app the around the same time as yours and I'm being hopeful as I submitted my app a few days before the deadline so maybe mine is coming later? so worried right now LOL

Dear Faith96706,

Thank you, sweet friend! I cried when I opened the attachment with the acceptance letter. After UH didn't accept me to the GEPN program this past Spring, my confidence was still in recovery mode (despite my best efforts at remaining upbeat). I read all of the nursing attachments twice before it really felt real, and when I finally told my husband: I cried all over again.

Yes, there must be something to the application submission date. Please do keep us posted. I am excited to meet you and can't wait to cheer for your acceptance. ?

Wishing you peace during such a worrisome time,

Elle

I paid the $200 deposit as a pre-nursing major, but I needed to take a Hawaiian studies class (I'm in it right now and have the world's sweetest and most generous professor). Unless you are taking classes as a pre-nursing major, I don't think you need to pay the $200. Once accepted into the BSN program, you'll need to pay the $200 in order to begin registering for classes.

Hi Faith96706! I submitted mine on 30th (late I know!) and just got an email last night that I am “conditionally” accepted and will be accepted once I am finished with the class I am taking now for associate degree in arts at KCC.. I’ve took all pre requisites but one class away from getting an associate degree. So basically they accepted me but I’ll need to get this class done with C or better.. to fulfill the “priority consideration to students with general education” section I am assuming!

my prereq GPA was 3.65 and TEAS 84.7%

Congratulations, Nina89!

I am thrilled for you and can't wait to meet you. ❤️

I hope that wherever you are right now: you are celebrating with those you love!

Sending you all the joy,
Elle

I’m worried I won’t get in now. I was emailed and asked if I took Research Writing (WRI 1200) pre-requisite.  The equivalent course in the UH system is ENG 200.  I took many English courses  just not that one in particular.  Also, if we were accepted as a pre nursing major, do we have to pay the $200 deposit now? What if we don’t get in.

Here is a screenshot of my Degree Works. It looks like they force completed the first writing course and then accepted a transferred course for the second.

So it looks like we both have the upper division writing courses left which I think that’s in the nursing program like Uhm

Hi SamJz,

HPU said that I only needed to take Living History of Hawai'I, and everything else was good to go (either from transferred credits or forced completes due to my BSPH). I am knocking out the Hawaiian history course now and loving it. SO many opportunities for extra credit. I seriously can't believe it!
