I am a LPN in the state of Florida and I have opportunity to work privately for a neighbor taking care of his wife for 40 hours a week. It would be an easy case for me allowing me to be home with my family. I know in order to take that I have to do a 1099 for taxes my question is would I have to change anything with the State Board of Nursing in reference to my license if it's a person-to-person contract versus an independent contractor taking on multiple cases? I would also continue to pick up PRN and other facilities as well. I was unable to find a clear answer within the State Board website so I'm hoping somebody with more knowledge than me would know the answer.
