Has anyone tried Uworld practice questions for nclex-rn?

Published

Hello!

Sooooo I'm taking my nclex-rn in 2 days...

I'm super nervous and feel like I'm not ready at all, but at the same time I just want to get this over with as soon as possible.

I've been doing questions using Kaplan, I completed all of the Q bank questions and trainers, sample tests, etc. and went over every rationale. Even then I still felt like I had to practice more questions, then I found this Uworld Qbank free one month trial.

I've been doing it for a few days and done about 1/3 of the questions, then I realized Uworld had some contradicting information to Kaplan. For example, Kaplan said that patients with diverticulitis should avoid eating seeds, corn, nuts, etc because they can lodge in the diverticula. But I got a question wrong in Uworld because it says it's just a myth and there is no evidence that such foods precipitate diverticulitis..

So I'm just wondering which of the two resources is more reliable. I do find some questions from Uworld helpful, so should I just keep practicing questions from Uworld? If you've used Uworld to study for nclex, did you find it helpful?

Thank you!

I'm in the same boat as you! I've been using Kaplan and I just recently started using UWorld. I have noticed that some of the UWorld's rationales are different or opposite of what Kaplan says. I've just kind of overlooked some of the UWorld's ones that are opposite, only because I know that Kaplan is a trusted source. I think UWorld is helpful!!

It's nice to hear someone who is going through the same thing as me!! (haha)

Thank you for your reply! :)

It's probably just me but I also feel like Uworld questions are harder. :( getting low scores..

I think I should stop doing questions now because I'm taking the test tomorrow.... but I'm just too anxious I feel like I have to do something!! :(

Good luck to you and happy studying!

I'm sure you'll do great! Good luck!!

Did you pass your boards? Was U world helpful? I also finished kaplan and I am doing U world, taking the boards in abt 2wks and I was wondering if you had similar questions to U world.

Thanks

Hey i'm also taking the NCLEX in two weeks and using UWorld. I already took and failed the NCLEX already earlier this year, but I don't remember the questions being as difficult as UWorld.
