I just need to finish up my co reqs this summer. I still need my life skills credit. It will be a busy summer since I'm already taking Med Surg II with clinical. We will be having clinicals 4-10 Monday and Tuesday and Lecture 4-10 on Thursday.
So, I was wondering if anyone has taken either IVYT 104 critical thinking or IVYT 107 professional presence. Our advisor suggests we take critical thinking, but I was wondering about professional presence too. Can you tell me how the courses were online? Was there a lot of reading and writing etc?... honestly, I just want a class that has minimal work because I will be stressed out enough with the Med Surg II.
Thanks, for any info you can offer!

Ok...so I am no help since I haven't taken either but I am taking 105 which is Managing Personal Finances. I actually really like it and figured it would really help me out in the long run. Is that an option? I am taking 5 courses this semester and this definitely has not put me into overload.

I took IVY 104 last summer online and it was a MAJOR JOKE. We had open book quizzes each week, I think one small one page or less essay, and then weekly discussion forums...The forums asked things like, if you were an animal, what kind would you be...or, is it wrong of the papparrazi to chase celebs around, etc. I took it online through Columbus. Piece of cake, but don't expect to learn! :)
Thanks for the replies
Kgle I was eyeing the personal finances too, and it would be an option since it is 100> class. Can you tell me about the kind of things you are required to do?
Melissa, honestly even though it sounds bad I was really hoping for a fluff class so it sounds like that might work out too.
Now I just have to decide which class to take. Thanks !!!!

Right now all I have had to do is discussion boards (I am taking a 6 week course so its like 2 a week) and read the chapters and write like a paragraph to the instructor answering a question she asks. I can forward you the syllabus if you'd like :)
Although...off topic but this girl in my class literally copied and pasted my answer in the last discussion board and I am ****** about it. I wonder if I should say something to the instructor...
Otherwise its a pretty simple class.
No need to apologize! With the intensity of the other courses in this program, fluff classes are rare and you shouldn't feel bad about getting a chance to take one. The whole premise of the IVY courses, IMO, is a joke anyway!
